The town of Córdoba will be the venue of the penultimate stage

“Villaviciosa is thrilled to be part of the race’s organisation and contribute with a route of unique characteristics which we hope will satisfy the mountain bikers’ expectations due to its topography and beauty”, says Rafael Rivas, mayor of Villaviciosa de Córdoba.

The stage outlines as one of the last decisive moments for the overall standings. The first part of the fifth stage will serve to determine the positions before the day’s final kilometres.

The decisive stretch wil begin on the fiftieth kilometre, with the demanding climb of Los Mirabuenos. Followed by a descend nearby the town, to climb the Aire mountain pass and carry out a final stretch to Villaviciosa de Córdoba.

During the entire stage it will be possible to enjoy a completely natural environment: “At Villaviciosa you breathe nature all around, due to the  topographic variety of the area and its Mediterranean forest which allows to enjoy unique picturesque places”, assures the town’s mayor.

After this stage, the mountain bikers will have to recover well to be in the best possible conditions to enjoy the final stage of the 2018 Andalucía Bike Race presented by Shimano in Córdoba.
