Antonio Ruiz, President of Córdoba’s Deputy, highlights the province’s natural places.

The President of the Deputy of Córdoba, Antonio Ruiz, is sure that sporting events such as Andalucía Bike Race presented by Shimano cannot be ignores from by public institutions. "This type of competitions not only allow to practice sport, but also have a great media reach with a high impact inside and outside our borders”, says Ruiz.

The eighth edition of the Andalusian event will not only repeat in one of the most special cities of the whole community, but will also have an unprecedented venue in Villaviciosa de Córdoba, "a town that manages to add to this edition the beauty of the mountains, the hospitality, the kindness and the sympathy of its people”, promises the President of Córdoba’s Deputy.

Antonio Ruiz is aware that "the province of Córdoba provides natural places of unparalleled beauty and unique locations that become the best scenario for a fascinating race”. The landscapes Córdoba’s mountains will be the main characters in the Buff® stage, which will take place on the Day of Andalusia.

The 93.26 kilometres and the 2.392 metres of climbing of the longest stage will make the Day of Andalusia a party in which many fans will be able to see up close some of the world’s best mountain bikers. Many of these MTB fans will be children who will admire their idols and Antonio Ruiz emphasizes that educational sports is one of his priorities: "We are committed to all sports, with high performance sport, and also with the pool of youngsters, the base of all the sports gearing and with which we are working in the Municipal Sports Schools".
