The best XCM riders set their sights on the 15th edition of the Andalucía Bike Race.

The Andalucía Bike Race by Garmin reaches its 15th edition, firmly established as one of the most prestigious stage MTB races on the international calendar.

From February 24 to March 1, 2025, the competition will bring together the best XCM specialists on a spectacular course that, for the first time, will include the province of Granada, alongside Jaén and Córdoba.

Six days of pure adrenaline and 305 kilometers of technical trails, demanding climbs, and thrilling descents await the participants in an edition that promises intense excitement. With 8,630 meters of accumulated elevation gain, each stage will be a true challenge, where only the strongest will have a shot at victory.

The 2025 edition boasts an exceptional level of participation. The world's top XCM teams will land in Andalusia with their star riders, assembling a lineup worthy of a World Cup.

Among the top contenders for the final victory is the powerful duo of Andreas Seewald and Jakob Harmann. Seewald, a former XCM world champion, and Harmann, one of the rising stars of the circuit, form one of the most solid teams with strong chances of dominating the race.

Kilmatiza Orbea Team is going all in with Marc Stutchmann and Samuele Porro, a tandem of experience and talent. Porro, a five-time Italian XCM champion, knows this race well and understands what it takes to win on Andalusian soil.

One of the biggest surprises of this edition is the split of the current champions. Fabian Rabensteiner, the 2024 winner, will change partners and race alongside the promising Casey South, forming an explosive combination aiming to defend the title.

The Buff-Megamo team, a classic in the Andalucía Bike Race, presents a stellar lineup featuring Czech rider Martin Stošek and Portuguese José Dias. Stošek, the 2023 European Gravel champion and an XCM world championship medalist, arrives in peak form, ready to claim the throne.

Another team that will not go unnoticed is the one formed by the Cordovan Miguel Muñoz and Luis Francisco Pérez, who will fight to be in the leading positions. The Andalusian cyclist Jose Mari Sánchez and Enrique Morcillo, great connoisseurs of the terrain, will be looking to shine in a competition that has always given them great moments.

However, one team generating major anticipation is the BH Coloma Team, featuring two of the biggest international MTB stars: Portuguese Tiago Ferreira, a former world champion and XCM legend, and Spanish rider David Valero, Olympic medalist and current Spanish XCO champion. Together, they form a fearsome duo, aiming to dominate the race with their power and endurance.

The women’s category also promises a thrilling showdown, where competition will be fierce. The Italian Costanza Fasolis and German Stephanie Walter form a high-level pair that arrives in Andalusia with the ambition to climb to the top of the podium. In addition to Tessa Kortekas and Mónica Calderón, national cyclists who are also ready to give something to talk about. 

From Spain, Txell Figueras and Claudia Peretti will join forces, blending youth and talent, while Málaga-born Natalia Fischer, one of Spain’s greatest XCM riders, returns to the Andalucía Bike Race determined to write another golden chapter in her career.

With a star-studded lineup, a breathtaking course, and intense competition in every stage, the 15th edition of the Andalucía Bike Race is set to be one of the most exciting in its history.
