Undoubtedly, the favourites in this competition are the current winners, Belgian Wout Alleman and Italian Fabian Rabensteiner. In this edition, they will separate their paths and go from allies to rivals.
Alleman, reigning European XCM champion, will wear the Buff Megamo colours, paired with another illustrious rider, Dutchman Hans Becking, who has five national XCM championships to his name.
Rabensteiner, current winner of the UCI MTB World Cup in Nove Mesto, will be paired with Italian Samuele Porro, five-time XCM national champion, in the Wilier-Vittoria team. In addition, it is important to pay attention to the second male duo proposed by Buff Megamo, composed by the Portuguese XCM champion Jose Dias and the Ibizan Enrique Morcillo. The experience of both is remarkable, and we will see them battle in all the stages.
The Cannondale ISB team is betting on its male partner, Italian Riccardo Chiarini, podium finisher in the previous edition, and Spaniard Adrián García Montes.
Once again this year, the red carpet will be rolled out to welcome an illustrious figure of the race, the Portuguese Tiago Ferreira, a true collector of titles, who in this edition will team up with the Spaniard Ismael Esteban, both wearing the BH - VOUZELA - LOGOS ENERGÍA jersey.
For the third consecutive year, SCOTT - CALA BANDIDA will be another squad to watch out for, with Sergio Mantecón, Spanish XCM Champion, and local rider José Mari Sánchez.
We cannot overlook other national champions of their respective countries: Diego Rosa (ITA) of Torpado Kenda Factory, Daniel Geismayr (AUT) of Wilier-Vittoria, Sebastian Gesche (CHI) of Klimatiza Toteemi Cabberty or Andrew L'Esperance (CAN) of Team Maxxis Factory Racing.
Without a doubt, the brutal list of names in this new edition of the Andalucía Bike Race is going to provide us with a high voltage spectacle. It's a long way to the finish line of the Finisher Stage and there are many surprises in store!
