Andalucía Bike Race by GARMIN to be held from February 26 to March 2, will incorporate different novelties and the first of them is in the first stage that will start and finish in Bedmar on February 26. An opening day where fun is guaranteed thanks to the distance and the layout of the first day. With a first long and hard climb at the start, which will put everyone in their place according to their preparation, you will enjoy the trails around Bedmar. Remember this, the trail that will take you directly to Bedmar will leave you speechless.
Already on the second day, the protagonism will be for the city of Jaén. In the direction of Pegalajar, you will go up to the Mirador de las Siete Pilillas to enjoy several beautiful trails before heading towards Mancha Real. Once there you will return to Pegalajar via La Guardia de Jaén. Not for its mileage, but for its physical and technical demand, this second day is designed as the queen stage of the 14th edition of Andalucía Bike Race by GARMIN as far as Jaén is concerned.
At the halfway point of the race you will arrive in Jaén just on the Day of Andalusia to enjoy a short stage, but very fun in the area of El Neveral, a usual and well known area. An endless number of trails, with some new additions that will allow you to finish the stage relatively soon to move to the next stop and on the way to the area of Cordoba.
Villafranca de Córdoba has become almost a fixed part of our race, thanks to the routes and the possibilities it offers. This time, the stage will finish in Villafranca, but Adamuz will have a great role in it. For those of you who have already repeated previous editions, we will ride through the areas where the time trial usually took place and we will add new sections for you to enjoy even more. Of course, the stage will still be pure XCO in an XCM format, which will alternate constant climbs and descents that will push you to the limit.
And now it's time for Cordoba to take the reins of the race with the last two stages. The main day in the area of Cordoba with a day that will be long, with just over 80 kilometers and almost 2,000 meters of elevation gain. To add up these numbers we will leave in the direction of El Reventón, uphill, to look for the Torre de las Siete Esquinas and pass through the urbanization El Cruce. We will go up an unpublished ascent to Santa María de Trasierra and we will look for the trails in Santo Domingo to end in La Asomadilla.
And the end of the party is the great novelty of this year: a time trial around Santo Domingo and La Palomera. With hardly any track, so that you give it all on the last day and leave with the feeling of having done real mountain biking. Skill and technique will be key for those who want to get the best times.
This is the first advance we can make of the 14th edition, so as we can tell you more secrets, we will do so.
