The city of Jaén has welcomed, with warm and sunny weather, the 500 bikers of this eleventh edition of the Andalucáa Bike Race by GARMIN. On the day before the FLASH STAGE, the anti-COVID protocol and the numbers delivery were the protagonists.
From 3pm, the bikers were called for the first of the three tests that the staff and the cyclists must undergo during the week. Once they have passed the first of the three tests that will be carried out throughout the week, the 500 bikers were able to collect their numbers, as well as the welcome pack. If any of the cyclists required it, they set p the last details of their bike in the tent prepared by MASQUEBICI, as well as any last minute doubts with their GARMIN, in the tent set up by the American company.
Tomorrow, the 17th May, the first of the six stages arrives. This is the FLASH STAGE, a time trial of 24.55 kilometers and 870 meters of elevation gain, including the ascent to El Neveral, the highest point of the stage at 995 meters above sea level. Both the expected high temperatures and the toughness of the terrain will make a very attractive and fun stage to start this edition with a very good feeling.
From 10 a.m. onwards, at the start set up in the Complejo Deportico Las Fuentezuelas, the cyclists will start with a two-minute gap between them.
