Official route of Andalucía Bike Race presented by Caja Rural Jaén 2020

364 kilometres and 11.500 metres of climbing on an explosive route racing mythical trails

Andalucía Bike Race presented by Caja Rural Jaén announces its 2020 route that will be held from February 25 to March 1, beginning with a time trial and five marathon stages. An edition that will stands out for its novelties: return to its celebration in February and the increase to the highest distinction in cycling, Hors Catégorie (SHC). The 2020 route will offer a variety of terrains in its four locations that will race: Jaén, Andújar, Priego de Córdoba and Córdoba.

This tenth edition will have a very varied route with 364 kilometers and 11.400 meters of climbing, showing one more year the beauty of Andalusia landscapes and the provinces of Jaén and Córdoba with a complete route  for all riders passing through Natural Parks.

The stages will be hard and technical, but in each of them we will find all the ingredients to be epic and incredible: bearing stretches, technical climbs and downhill trails to end with a smile. Also, we will find sections that haven’t been raced for a long time, unprecedented stretches with other mythical ones with compensated stages in terms of hardness and technical prevailing the incredible views that will do wonders to all bikers with 360º panoramic views in all of the race venues.

You will not miss the climb of the Pincho in the first stage, the Natural Park of Sierra Mágina in the second one, Marmolejo, the descent of Los Caracolillos or the rise of Madroño in the third stage. The landscape marked by white houses of Priego de Córdoba and the hardness of its lands in the fourth stage or the expected ascent to Reventón, the Fangorn forest or the descent of Los Morales in the fifth stage. The sixth and decisive stage in Córdoba stands out for passing through Cerro Muriano, racing through the old Copper Mines looking for the traditional old rail tracks to Santo Domingo.
