Jaén once again took center stage in the Andalucía Bike Race by Garmin 2025 with a thrilling fourth stage, featuring a technical and demanding course through the El Neveral Periurban Park. The capital of Jaén has once again demonstrated its commitment to MTB, solidifying itself as a premier destination for enthusiasts of the sport.
The day's route covered 40 kilometers with 1,300 meters of elevation gain, leading cyclists through countless trails filled with explosive climbs and thrilling descents, with a spectacular final stretch in Jabalcuz before returning to the Olivo Arena. It was a fast-paced and exciting stage that pushed the participants to their limits while allowing them to enjoy one of the most iconic MTB spots in Andalucía.
In the men's category, Fabian Rabensteiner and Casey South from Torpado Kenda FSA Factory claimed a brilliant victory after mastering the most technical sections and managing a 39-second lead with precision. “We are very happy and feeling great today. Tomorrow is a long stage, so we’ll see what happens, but the key is to avoid mistakes and maintain this pace,” they said after crossing the finish line. Joining them on the podium were Spaniards Miguel Muñoz and Luis Francisco Pérez from Klimatiza Orbea Team in second place, while Andreas Seewald and Jakob Hartmann from Singer KTM Racing battled hard for a spot among the top finishers.
In the women's category, Mónica Calderon and Tessa Kortekaas from ISB Cannondale once again showcased their dominance in the mountains, securing another victory in Jaén and overcoming the demanding course with ease. “From the start, we pushed really hard. In every stage, we try to go as fast as possible to reach the finish line,” they commented at the end of the race. Finishing in second place were Meritxell Figueras and Claudia Peretti from Cannondale Protour Olympia. “This was one of the most beautiful and complete stages—featuring tracks, trails, rocks—something for everyone and all levels. We are very happy with our result and are getting closer to the leaders,” they said at the finish line. Spaniards Natalia Fischer and Maria Reyes from Extremadura-Ecopilas UCI MTB Team arrived a few minutes later to complete the podium for stage 4.
