“What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger”

The Swiss Spaniard, Natalia Fischer (MMR Factory Racing), is the current MTB Marathon (XCM) Spanish champion and ambassador of Andalucía Bike Race. The Andalusian led the overall classification in the last edition but withdrew due to a hypothermia. She returns with strength to counter attack!

Andalucía Bike Race is ...

...one of the most prestigious international stage races and this is proven every year. You just have to look at the number and level of riders. It improves each edition.

What do you highlight of the race…

…the beautiful landscapes along which the race passes, the warmth of the Andalusian spectators, the atmosphere that’s breathed in the race, the gastronomy and the organisation, are the factors that make Andalucía Bike Race unique and special.

Expectations…

I hope to take away the bittersweet taste I ended up with last year, to do my best and have a great time.

Most attention should be payed to…

…it requires a maximum concentration and preparation if you want to race it, but at the same time, it’s achievable for everyone.

The best moment of Andalucía Bike Race is…

I have many! For me, the best would be the warmth of Andalusian spectators and its gastronomy.

New team, new challenges…

As any team we would like to be on the podium. We’ll fight for it, but above all we’ll enjoy the human quality that’s breathed in the team, that’s enough.

A fast and technical route that repeats mythical sections…

The area where the race passes are incredible. I like all stages, but I would choose Andújar’s technical descents and the beautiful singletracks of Córdoba’s mountains.

The Andalucía Bike Race ambassador recommends…

To have trained for a six stage race. You have to take care of the nutrition before, during and after the race, a good recovery after the stages and a lots of motivation and enthusiasm! What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.
