The 12th edition will host the best women's line-up in the history of the competition

Seven of the world's top ten cyclists will compete in the twelfth edition of the Andalucia Bike Race by GARMIN

Katazina Sosna, Ariane Lüthi, Stefanie Dohrn, Costanza Fasolis, Greete Steinburg, Janine Schneider and Lejla Tanovic. Make a good note of these seven names because they, together with their respective partners, are sure to put on a show that has never been seen before.

The nine-time Lithuanian Champion, Katazina Sosna, will be looking to take out the thorn in her side from last year when, together with Stefanie Dohrn, she lost the title on the last day. "The Andalucia Bike Race by Garmin is the race I like the most, as it means that the season has really started. The wonderful atmosphere of the race and the breathtaking scenery of the region excite me. Last year, the language was a bit of a barrier and this year, together with my new partner, I will be able to speak in a practically native language," says Sosna.

For her part, reigning champion Janine Schneider will form a strong partnership with three-time Estonian champion Greete Steinburg. After winning with Hildegunn Hovdenak in the last edition, Schneider and Steinburg will want to put the rest of the rivals in trouble.

Another pair that is sure to give something to talk about is the one formed by Ariane Lüthi and Amy Wakefield. The five-time Swiss champion, fifth at the last XCM World Championships, and the South African will be another pair to watch out for: "Amy and me know each other well. We have raced together many times in South Africa. Amy is very strong technically, has great stage racing experience and knows how to race in pairs. She's a fantastic teammate, so I'm looking forward to racing with her soon," explains Lüthi.

For her part, the South African notes: "Honestly, it means a lot to me to finally get the chance to race at ABR. This event has been on my bucket list for many years, but due to Covid and other reasons, I have always missed it. I'm so excited that it's finally becoming a reality."

And as far as the national level is concerned, two names to note are those of Txell Figueras and Naima Madlen. The BUFF MEGAMO TEAM pair, despite being in the process of getting to know each other, are sure to put on a great show.

These are the feelings of some of the favorites for the final victory, but does anyone dare to rule out any of the participants? Ahead, 358 kilometers and 11,156 meters of elevation gain to meet the new Andalucía Bike Race by GARMIN Champions.
