Martos and its olives trees host the e-bike route

40 kilometers and good atmosphere in the second edition of the Andalucía eBike Ride presented by Montetucci

This morning took place the second edition of Andalucía eBike Ride presented by Montetucci in Martos. It’s the first time that this town hosts this competition. Before, in 2016, Martos hosted the first stage of Andalucía Bike Race presented by Caja Rural Jaén.

About fifty eBikers enjoyed a route of 40 kilometers that began at the facilities of Monte Lope Álvarez of Montetucci, to continue to the olive forest that characterizes and symbolizes Martos. Over there, the Mountain bikers have been able to enjoy and discover the Sierra de la Caracolera.

It has also been possible to see emblematic places in the area such as the Castle of Víboras of the 9th century, or the reservoir of Víboras, with its district of Las Casillas in the background, where all participants have tasted extra virgin ecological oil.

The sales manager of Montetucci, Ismael Oyarzun, said that as producers of extra virgin oil they want to offer the consumer “a product that brings health benefits, the existing synergy with sport, cycling, Mountain Bike and also with Andalucía eBike Ride”.

The mayor of Martos, Víctor Manuel Torres, believes that "sport, tourism, and promotion of Martos fit perfectly within this experience by electric bikes". He also thinks that "the important thing is to enjoy this tour and the gastronomy of the area”.

The good atmosphere and the sun have shined on a fantastic day. The 40 kilometers have amazed the e-bikers, among which was the Michelin star chef Kisko García, or the winner of the Giro d’Italia in 1996, Pavel Tonkov, who was one of the most outstanding cyclists of the 90s

A day that has ended with an appetizer with local cold meat and oil tasting at the Montetucci facilities.
