All the outstanding riders of Andalucía Bike Race presented by Caja Rural Jaén 2019

Andalucía Bike Race presented by Caja Rural Jaén, first class international event, will begin next Monday April 8. Its route of 382 kilometres and nearly 7.900 metres of climbing, will have six great stages for the 630 registrants from 26 nationalities.

Andalucía Bike Race presented by Caja Rural Jaén will start for the fourth time in a row with a time trial. After two days in Linares, it will jump to the town of Andújar, which will mean the last stage in the province of Jaén and the equator of Andalucía Bike Race presented by Caja Rural Jaén. The three next stages will be held in the province of Córdoba, the fourth one in Villafranca de Córdoba and the last two in the capital.

Favourites

Portuguese Tiago Ferreira (DMT Racing by Marconi), winner of the past three editions, will try to achieve his fourth consecutive victory, matching Sally Bigham, and showing his supremacy at Andalucía Bike Race presented by Caja Rural Jaén. Norwegian Hildegunn Gjertrud Hovdenak (VPG), winner of the past edition and experienced stage racer, starts as favourite in the women’s category.

Their greater contenders will be two Andalusians; current Cross Country (XCO) Spanish champion, David Valero, and current MTB Marathon (XCM) Spanish champion, Natalia Fischer, both of the MMR Factory Racing team.

Besides these, Olympic mountain bikers, world, continental and national champions outstand, as well as other cyclists and athletes. These are the most outstanding of the ninth edition of Andalucía Bike Race presented by Caja Rural Jaén:
